OptMed is developing and commercializing products from two proprietary platforms:

• Biocompatible polymers with applications as biosurgical adhesives and sealants as well as a new class of industrial adhesives, and
• Genitourinary therapeutics for the treatment of lower urinary tract conditions, including overactive bladder (OAB) and kidney stones.
  

Our lead biosurgical product in development—
Devakor™, a topical skin adhesive—is a replacement for surgical sutures. OptMed’s therapeutics in development are based on proprietary new indications for a widely used drug to provide targeted relaxation of smooth muscle in the lower urinary tract. Local delivery of this drug provides a highly differentiated approach to treating a range of genitourinary disorders.

Products generated by both platforms have rapid development paths and offer multiple partnering opportunities.
